Altantuya’s dad brushed off by…Posted: April 29, 2008
…our very own Prime Minister and his son-in-law.
I was shaking my head when I read this post in Susan’s blog. And I’m still shaking my head now.
Is this how a country’s leader is supposed to treat the father to a girl who was murdered in his country? I don’t think so. But like what Susan said, let’s be fair. Maybe Pak Lah was really too busy. After all, it IS the first Parliamentary sitting.
To give him the benefit of the doubt, let’s hope that he meets up with Mr Shariibuu after he’s done with all this “busy” business.
Snippet from Susan’s blog:
Altantuya’s dad, Stev Shariibuu, was in Parliament today. He waited half a day to meet with Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his deputy Najib Tun Razak.
He did manage to meet Abdullah after lunch at the Parliament entrance. Shariibuu was about to leave when Abdullah emerged. The dad went straight to meet him and shook his hands. He said he was Shariibuu from Mongolia.
A surprised Abdullah said “Hello. How are you?”
Before Shariibuu could reply, Abdullah walked away. To be fair, he was rushing to attend the afternoon session of the swearing in ceremony of the new MPs.

And it seems like he was waiting for Najib too. Ah, but Najib did a pretty good magic trick to NOT appear in front of Mr Shariibuu. Well, he can’t hide forever.
