Six arrested for gathering in front of Palace

Enam orang, termasuk tiga ahli Parlimen PKR ditahan, dipercayai kerana mempertikaikan tindakan polis melarang sekumpulan 70 orang penyokong Hindraf berhimpun di depan Istana Negara.

*******

70 people gathered in front of Istana Negara. Of the 70 people, 40 were children. Meaning only 30 adults. And the police actually thought they needed 70 people on their side to contain this group of 40 children?

What are they thinking…

These are children. Just children. How can they be called “Hindraf supporters”?

Sometimes I really wonder why they are so protective of the ISA. Why do they always come out full force whenever there is a gathering of Hindraf members or supporters? Why do they always come out full force whenever there is a gathering to protest against the draconian act that is the ISA?

It is Father’s Day. How many of the current ISA detainees are fathers? How many children can’t spend Father’s Day with their dads, even though they are still alive? How much of these children’s lives will be void of a father figure?

The ISA is depriving these children from time with their dads. And for what? They can’t even prove whether the detainees have been rightfully detained or not.

70 trained police against 70 citizens of Malaysia.
70 trained adults against 40 vulnerable children of Malaysia.

Where’s the logic? Where’s the common sense? Where’s the compassion?
