Now Najib is swearing!

On the Friday before nomination day in Permatang Pauh, Saiful swore on the Quran in a mosque.

Last Friday, it was Najib’s turn to swear on the Quran. What did he swear? That he has never known Altantuya. If I’m not mistaken, this is the second time he has sworn, the first being during an UMNO meeting of some sort, although the Quran wasn’t present at that moment.

Najib said this after taking his oath on Friday:

‘I am not afraid to utter these holy words in a mosque because I am speaking the truth,’

From Malaysian Insider HERE.

Okay…. Now hold it right there.

At this moment, I’ve seen more Statutory Declarations than any ordinary non-law related person would have in a normal lifetime. Especially with two additional ones from RPK, just before he left for Permatang Pauh. They’re HERE and HERE.

I’ve also heard more swearing on the Quran than I ever would have if everything was just normal. As it is, I’ve heard of two.

Now, they claim that they swore on the Quran to prove their innocence. They said that everything they said when they had their hands placed on the Quran were all the truth.

I’m not here to question that. If that’s what their version of the truth is, then so be it.

Truth be told, I couldn’t care less if Anwar sodomised the man or not. And truth be told, I also don’t care if Najib knew Altantuya personally or not.

What I do want to know, is who the true murderer of Altantuya is. Are the three people currently being charged indeed the only three people involved? Were there any other people involved that we might not know of?

Rosmah, Najib’s wife, has been implicated in the Altantuya case. Was stated in RPK’s SD, from hearsay. Fine. It was hearsay. But since swearing on the Quran is so much in fashion nowadays, why doesn’t Najib convince his wife to also swear on the Quran that she had nothing to do with Altantuya? Surely Rosmah’s image is being tarnished here, and if she has nothing to fear, why not make an oath on the Quran?

Of course, there are other things I’d like to know. I want to know why, when Pakatan Rakyat took over the government in Selangor, there were no papers, no documents, and no furniture. Why were all the past documents shredded? Did the past Selangor state govt have anything to hide? Did Khir Toyo have anything to hide? If he doesn’t, why not ask him to swear on the Quran too? Because I sure would like to know why an empty office was being handed over. If he’s got nothing to hide, and he’s not afraid because berani kerana benar, then let’s hear him swear on the Quran.

While we’re at it, there are also allegations that there is rampant money politics involved in UMNO. Why won’t they swear on the Quran to clear their name? Surely as Muslims, they don’t want to have their names involved in corruption dealings?

Heck, if swearing on the Quran can take care of stuff, I’d like to see every single Muslim in the BN government today swear that they have never misused our tax money, never abused their power for personal gains, and never got involved in extra-marital sex.

Will that ever happen?

Because if it isn’t, I don’t see no reason why there is any pressure on Anwar’s side to swear on the Quran. Because swearing on the Quran ain’t going to solve any problem.

  1. Michelle, swearing on the Quran won’t mean a thing to sinners who have sold their soul to the Devil. It is through all his sins that he become where he is today. Only a devil would make a mockery out of the Quran..

Secondly. are we certain that he and Saifool did swore over the Quran? For all we know, it could just be a Law book from the office of Shaffi Abdullah.. Or maybe a special compilation edition of Playboy magazines..

With these devils, everything is possible.

  2. maw says:

with these devils, everything is possible.yeah!i cant agree less.

  3. KevinP says:

Desperate times calls for desperate measures… if need to swear… swear lah.. as long as my arse wont be bbq-ed…

Seriously… RPK cannot be more scandalous and explosive… I am having great difficulty understanding the issue of religion now…
