Islam over party. Anytime.

…says Zulkifli Nordin.

He’s up to face the disciplinary board on 9 September.

If PKR asks him to apologise, I think he wouldn’t, based on what he has written on his blog post. And if he doesn’t, I’m guessing that he’ll resign from PKR.

If that happens, I’m not going to feel sorry about it. Other than being a Muslim and a member of a political party, he is also a Member of Parliament. He is supposed to be a representative of his constituency, which I’m sure is made up of different people of different religions.

If PKR decides not to take any disciplinary action, then I would be disappointed.

As I’ve written in a letter to Anwar before this, he and his party need to prove that they are really a party that upholds justice for all. Especially at a time like now.

I’ll hold on to my other thoughts until the verdict is set.

    Hi Michelle,

There’s something for you on my blog today.

    Hi Michelle,

    Me again.

I agree that it is very important HOW PKR handles this one. We are all watching with bated breath. If nothing is done, that will speak volumes of what we’re gonna have in store should they take over power.

This is a strange time. It is like we are all standing on thin ice: will it crack, and all of us be drowned in freezing water? Or will it hold, however tenuously, and let us make it to the other side?

I hope it is the latter. I am tired of this limbo, with just gloom looming ahead.

  3. Spot on.
PKR should and must take stern action against those members who de-railed from their professed principle, upholding justice for ALL, vis-a-vis a ‘no-action’ action from Umno on that wannabe making derogatory remarks.

During PP election some camera man got whack by supporters and they promised to look into it. that was the last you hear about it. now we wait for ZN outburst, and they promised they will look into it later, when time permits. last i hear the hearing will be delayed. did someone say thin ice!
Don’t know if it’s confirmed that the hearing has been delayed, but according to ZN’s blog, it’s because he has to appear in court for something (Well, he’s a lawyer, so..)

But if this gets swept under the carpet, you can be assured that THIS blogger will not remain quiet.

    not refering to ZN blogs but PKR statement;
Thanks for the link. Will check it out.

Added: Statement from your link was on Sunday, quoted to have been made on Saturday. THIS was posted yesterday. I’m thinking it’s more up-to-date.
