The minister provided the following breakdown of the detainees:

  • Alleged militant violence (JI, etc) – 46
  • Alleged falsification of Malaysian documents – 5
  • Alleged smuggling of undocumented immigrants – 2
  • Alleged “percambahan nuklear” – 1

  1. bow says:

What is the total number of Malaysian detainees under ISA ? I am sure there are more than 57, probably around 80-100, according to amnensty international record.
    ________
I’m also quite sure there are more, but so far I have not found any other list. From what I know, there should be around 70+ in detention now.

  2. MerahHitam says:

The latest number of ISA detainees in Kem Kamunting is 43!!!
This is the most reliable source because we liase with the families of the detainees and the lawyers who visit them twice a month.
